VIDES UK is part of a Salesian international charity committed to the formation and development of young people and volunteers.


The three key areas of the job are:

To support the outreach work of VIDES UK through building on established VIDES relationships and developing new ones. This will involve visiting schools, colleges and youth groups to promote projects. It will also entail developing strategies to attract new volunteers and encourage young people to get involved. To deliver youth programmes on behalf of VIDES UK (including our youth leadership course and weekly youth clubs). To raise funds for VIDES UK through funding applications and coordination of other fundraising activities. In addition to an attractive salary we will offer continuous professional development, regular supervision and the opportunity to work with an established group of committed volunteers. Salary: £21-23k depending on experience. The post is offered on a 3 year fixed term contract with a view to continuing. The closing date for all applications is 17th May 2013. Sr Gill McCambridge – VIDES Delegate

PART TIME ADMINISTRATOR (12 hrs), based in our office in Croxteth.

The overall purpose of the job is to provide administrative support to the work of VIDES UK, involving the day to day management of the administration and finances of the VIDES office, the daily office communication including phone calls, emails and post. It will also include liaising with and supporting our team coordinators with administration tasks.

You will be organised and motivated with experience of administration. We are looking for someone keen to work within a Christian organisation to support our volunteers in the delivery of youth projects both in the UK and internationally.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Animate Youth Ministry Service for a Team Leader to contribute, support and develop Youth Ministry in Parishes, Schools and local community. The successful applicant will reside at Lowe House, St Helens, living in community with the wider youth ministry team.

Salary £14,500 – £18,500 per annum (inclusive of accommodation costs) The salary range is dependent upon knowledge, skill and experience of applicants  Full time, 35 hours per week  (to be worked flexibly including evenings, weekends, bank/public holidays)  5 weeks holiday, pension and salary exchange schemes  Required from 1st September 2013
Reporting to the Director of Youth Ministry, the successful candidate will actively lead a team of gap year volunteers involved in peer ministry on behalf of the Archdiocese of Liverpool. You will also take the lead on preparing, facilitating and delivering workshops, liturgies and residential retreats to enagage spiritual and social development amongst various age groups.

Applicants must be a committed member of the Roman Catholic Church and enthusiastic about youth evangelisation.The successful candidate must have; Previous experience of planning, leading, delivering and evaluating retreats or missions  Previous experience of living and working in a youth residential or youth mission team. Proven ability to train, motivate and mentor staff and volunteers. Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters and materials. An ability to use creative ways to communicate the gospel message to young people. An ability to develop good working relationships at all levels  Highly developed computer literacy skills. A flexible work attitude.
