Lenten Service   –  “Give us your heart!”

The Salesians at Home group based at the convent in Croxteth are leading a short Lenten service lasting no more than an hour both here in St Teresa’s and at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs on Monday 31st March at 7pm. (both services will run at the same time!) more details next week.

Last chance to host a Lent group

We are up to 20 volunteers now but it’s still not too late to add your name. Sr Teresa will be finalising the list this weekend of those willing to host groups during the first five weeks of Lent, using Walking through Lent with Pope Francis to reflect on the Sunday Gospels and on themes from Pope Francis’s Exhortation, The Joy of the Gospel. If you would be prepared to host a group at the same time (morning, afternoon or evening) in each of those five weeks (in your home, in the presbytery or elsewhere), please see Sr Teresa or contact the parish office. Next weekend we will be giving everyone the chance to sign up to one of the groups, in response to Pope Francis’ call: ‘Every Christian is challenged, here and now, to be actively engaged in evangelization… So what are we waiting for?’

Preparing for Baptism

Many thanks to our new Baptism team who met over 30 families at the meeting this week! Over the next few weeks we will be welcoming those children at the Sunday Masses. The next preparation meeting will be at 7.00pm on Wednesday 5th March, for those families planning their Baptisms before the end of April.

Piety Shop

We have a very limited supply of the Joy of the Gospel for sale in the piety shop.  If you would like a copy please call in to the shop.  Remember we stock a wide range of other religious items, all much cheaper than town! Call in to the shop after Mass and have a look.
