Confirmation and Communion
At the 10.00am Mass on Sundays 8th, 15th and 22nd June we will be celebrating Confirmation and Communion with Year 4 children and their families. We hope our regular congregation will want to be here to welcome and support them. There will be plenty of room for everyone but we will need to reserve the benches in the front half of the church for the children and their families.

‘Thank you’ from Archbishop Malcolm
Archbishop Malcolm has sent a message of thanks for the wonderful welcome he received at the 10.00am Mass last Sunday. Although it was arranged at very short notice because another engagement was cancelled, he thoroughly enjoyed the Mass and the chance to meet some of the families preparing for Confirmation and Communion and many of our parishioners. He said that people often say ‘You’re welcome’ but here he really felt he was welcome!

Welcome
We are delighted to welcome Klaudia Aleksandra Mazurkiewicz who was Baptised into our faith community last weekend.

Liverpool Archdiocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage Association
This year our annual pilgrimage takes place from 25th July to 1st August. While it may not be possible for everyone to accompany us, you can join in spirit by becoming an associate member of the pilgrimage. Prayer leaflets are available for those who wish to join in, with those taking part having their names taken to Lourdes with the other pilgrims and placed on the altar with all other petitions. Contact the office for more information.

Forty Hours Devotion
Please look at the board at the back of church to learn about the various types of prayer and reflection that will be led by different groups during our Forty Hours, from after the 6.00pm Mass on Saturday until before the 10.00am Mass on Sunday and then again from after the 6.00pm Mass on Sunday until the closing Mass at 8.00pm on Monday. As Saint Francis wrote, ‘The whole world should tremble and rejoice when Christ, the Son of the living God is present on the altar’.
Holy Hour for Pope Francis
In addition to our Forty Hours devotion, we will have an extra hour of prayer, from 3.00pm to 4.00pm on Sunday afternoon, to coincide with the visit of Pope Francis, with his friends who are a Jewish Rabbi and a Muslim Imam, to the troubled city of Jerusalem. Their mission is to support people of faith in the Holy Land and to pray for peace and Pope Francis has asked us to join our prayers to theirs.
