Welcome- We are delighted to welcome Ellie Smith; Lewis William Stranach; Ian Michael Neile; Bella-Lea Dixon; Blair Goodluck Ekenedilichukwu Onuigbo; Harper Louise Boothroyd and Summer Margaret Ann Marie Pia Lawrence who were all Baptised into our faith community last weekend.

FIRST FRIDAY EVENING VIGIL

Every First Friday of the month beginning September 5th, St Teresa’s will be holding an evening vigil in front of the Blessed Sacrament from 8.30pm until 12.30am. From the cross Jesus said: “…I thirst..” He is thirsting for souls to come to him and we must respond if we truly love Him and believe He is present in the Blessed Sacrament on the Altar. “ Believe in God and you and your family will be saved” Acts 16:31

The Joy of the Gospel, September 12th-14th

The cost is £122 fully residential or £80 non-residential, but if that is an obstacle, help towards the cost may be available. Please see Fr Chris or Annie if you are would like to take this opportunity.

CONFIRMATION AND COMMUNION: WITH YOU ALWAYS

Families with children starting Year 4 will begin preparing for Confirmation and Communion in September. Those whose children don’t go to St Teresa’s school are invited to contact the parish office as soon as possible.

Parish lottery

Winning numbers for draw on 20th August 2014: 2, 3, 5, 14. NO WINNER of the Jackpot of £1519 (subject to re scrutiny). Estimated Jackpot for the next draw is £1796.Two consolation prizes of £25 each; 357621; 357639. Many thanks to all who support our Parish Lottery and to the Team who run it for us. Your support is really appreciated!

DIVORCED/SEPARATED SUPPORT from the Archdiocesan Marriage and Family Life Department, (Pastoral Formation). Meetings for people who are divorced or separated or experiencing the breakdown of a marriage or a long term relationship start mid-September. See poster for details or contact Frances on 0151 727 2195.

SURVIVE-MIVA
There will be a special appeal next weekend for this UK based Catholic lay Association to help fund transport for the Church’s health & pastoral work in remote and under-developed parts of the world.

NUGENT CARE
Nugent Care are appealing for foreign currency (old, new, coins/notes) including old English currency. See poster at back of Church. (In 2013 £4,200 was raised)

Preparing for Baptism
The next preparation meeting will be at 7.00pm on Wednesday 3rd September for those families planning to have a child Baptised.
Pick up a form from the priests house to fill in, please make sure that you bring a copy of the baby’s birth certificate to the meeting.

Medjugorge – There are still a few places left for the pilgrimage to Medjugorge in 2nd-9th October 2014 accompanied by our own Fr. Chris and Fr. Andrew Unsworth. See poster at back of Church or phone Denise on 0151 474 1984.
