Mass

Your prayers are asked for those who have died recently, and for those whose anniversaries occur about this time.
May they rest in peace.
Please pray too for all those who are lonely or housebound, for those who are sick, at home or in hospital, and all those visited by our Eucharistic Ministers.

SVP — putting faith into action
For more than 170 years the Society of St Vincent de Paul has been a major part of the Church’s outreach to all who are poor, sick or in need. Our parish branch had to close some years ago because of a lack of volunteers, but the need is even greater now. A new SVP group has been formed in our area and next weekend Robbie Cannon, the regional organiser of the SVP, will be appealing at all the Masses for parishioners of St Teresa’s to take up this vital work. If you are inspired by Robbie, please come to the presbytery at 7.00pm on Tuesday 13th January to find out more.

Looking ahead to Lent: Family Life and Evangelisation
Last week Archbishop Malcolm invited us in his Pastoral Letter to meet and talk about our experiences of family life so as to help the Church develop her approach to supporting marriage and families of all sorts. The discussion document he mentioned, The Call, The Mission, The Journey, can be downloaded from http://www.catholic-ew.org.uk.
Pope Francis has also asked us to continue thinking about how we proclaim the Gospel of Joy and our bishops have produced a resource, Proclaim ‘15, Building Missionary Parishes, available from the same site, to help us do this.
Each of these resources has three sessions, and we will be gathering to reflect on both of them during Lent.
If you would like to help with either of these discussions, please come to a meeting of our Parish Development Group after the 10.00am Mass on Sunday 18th January.

Our Scripture Group will resume after their break on 14th January at 7.30pm. All are welcome.

Looking for a New Year Resolution?
If you have a full, clean licence, you could join a rota to bring our minibus back into service, bringing housebound people to Mass.
