STATIONS OF THE CROSS

During Lent we will be having the Stations of the Cross each Friday afternoon at 2.30pm followed by Divine Mercy devotions. Please try to come, All are very welcome.

Remember we are very fortunate that each morning we have the Rosary and Adoration after the 9am Mass or Service. Why not make it part of your Lenten promise to come as often as possible. Everyone is very welcome.

Lent groups – please sign up!

There’s a new sheet at the back of church to sign up for one of the eight opportunities each week to join a group to reflect on the gift of marriage and family life in the light of the scriptures and our own experience. Please consider joining one of these groups, as we need to hear everyone’s experience of family life, whatever it is.

Christ really speaks to us in the Word

Many thanks to Marian Tolley who, through her work with our readers and her short talks at the Masses last weekend, has raised our awareness of how Christ is really present in the Word proclaimed at Mass and of the responsibility we have, as the gathered People of God, to listen and respond. For those readers who missed the day with Marian, there is another opportunity: she will be giving a day at LACE on

Saturday 18th April.

Responding to the Call   Vocation Discernment Group

To support those exploring Vocations to the Priesthood in our diocese, a monthly day of recollection has been organised for the first Saturday of each month. These days will help men who feel called to ordained ministry to discover more about diocesan priesthood and meet others discerning a call to priesthood. There will be an opportunity to talk with and hear from priests who minister in the diocese, and also a time for prayer and discussion. The next day of recollection will take place on Saturday 7th March at St. Charles’ Presbytery, 224 Aigburth Road, Liverpool. For further information, please contact Fr James Preston, Vocations Director for the Archdiocese of Liverpool, at frjamespreston@gmail.com or telephone: 0151 727 2493. Regular updates will be posted on our Facebook page: Archdiocese of Liverpool Vocations

    • Hi Theresa

We haven’t got a parish pilgrimage planned this year. Last year a small group went via the Oblates. If there is any groups planning on going this year, we’ll update in the newsletter.

      Best wishes
