During this week, all our local churches will be praying for  all those affected by dementia and we will remember especially the work of Sedgemoor Dementia Support Centre. You can see the resources and find out more about the Pastoral Care Project on their website: http://www.pastoralcareproject.org.uk

General Election

A letter from the Bishops of England and Wales, available at the back of church, reminds us that as Catholics, we are called to work for a world shaped by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel proclaims the mercy of God and invites us steadfastly to love God and our neighbour. Our relationship with God leads to the desire to build a world in which respect, dignity, equality, justice, and peace are our primary concerns. The letter sets out six areas of concern and suggests questions we could ask of candidates before deciding how to use our vote

Spanish Visitors

It’s just two weeks now until we welcome, on Sunday March 22nd a group of 50 young people, aged 15-18, from the parish of Santa Maria la Major in Daimiel (between Granada and Madrid). They’ll  be joining us for the 10.00am Mass and some activities in the Parish Centre afterwards and they’d love to meet some young people from our area, so please encourage any young people you know to come and join us on that day.

WELCOME – We are delighted to welcome Ameila Ava Wallace, Fechukwu Olaedo Ojiako and Lotanna Chukwumaobim Ojiako who were Baptised into our faith community last weekend.

Lent groups – please sign up!

It’s not too late to join in with one of our Lent groups: we need to hear everyone’s experience of family life, whatever it is. Please use the sheet at the back of church to sign up for one of the eight opportunities each week to join a group to reflect on the gift of marriage and family life in the light of the scriptures and our own experience.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS

During Lent we will be having the Stations of the Cross each Friday afternoon at 2.30pm followed by Divine Mercy devotions. Please try to come, All are very welcome.
