Are you aware of the threat of extinction to our lovely hedgehogs? The hedgehog population has declined by over 97% in the last few decades, leaving approximately 1million left in the whole country! It is estimated that this helpful garden visitor will be extinct in the UK within ten years!
One of the reasons for their decline is that hedgehogs are struggling to roam around our urban and suburban gardens due to a lack of pathways between them.
How can we help? Simply making a hole in your fence or boundary (CD sized is perfect) will help them to move around, letting a corner of your garden grow a bit wild or making a small pile of logs will give them a place to hide and find food. For more information go to

SVP (St Vincent de Paul) Old Shoes Appeal – The SVP is collecting old shoes. Please bring in any pairs of old shoes you don’t need any more and drop them into the back of the church into the plastic bin with the big `SVP old shoe appeal` sticker on. The shoes can be turned into cash to help & support under-privileged children in Liverpool. Your help in doing this would very much appreciated, please drop your old shoes off. In case you need to contact our local SVP group, their contact number is 07708 788 361.
