Have you been Confirmed?

Since a few adults have asked for the sacrament of Confirmation, Bishop Tom Williams has kindly agreed to confirm them at the 6.00pm Mass on

Sunday 12th July. If you have missed out on this sacrament and would like to be confirmed with this group, please give your contact details to Fr Chris or the

Parish Office and come along to the presbytery for a preparation session at 3.30pm next Sunday, 21st June. Further preparation will be arranged at that first meeting.

As some of the candidates are from Poland, we will be providing the preparation in English and Polish.

Mariapolis 2015

If you are looking for a different kind of experience this summer, something which is not simply a holiday or retreat, then this just might be for you.

It is a place where people come to explore and live out the Gospel message of love and also to experience the presence of Jesus among his people as he promised. Whatever your background or nationality the Mariapolis is an invitation to experience a small piece of society where mutual respect and love create connections and build a foundation for a united world. Over six hundred people are expected to participate, there will be a mixture of activities to enjoy by people of all ages: spiritual input, workshops, outings. The title of the event is ”Signs of Hope”, there is a suggested donation of £10 for day/session visitors per person and £16 for families, which does not include meals. If you would like to order lunch or an evening meal please book in advance via the contact details below. You are very warmly welcome and we hope you will come along! The annual Mass to celebrate the work done in our parishes with children is this year to be celebrated at St Mary’s Lowe House, Crab Street, St Helens, WA10 2BE on Sunday 5th July at 3pm.The Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Malcolm and all children, their families and catechists from across the Archdiocese are invited to join in this special occasion.Please bring a picnic to enjoy in the garden after Mass

Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral “Be a Chorister for a day”

Sunday 28th June 2015 , 10.30-16.00

“Be a Chorister for a Day” is for girls currently in Year 5 who like singing, hard work and having fun! Spend the day at the Metropolitan Cathedral with the choristers singing, playing, eating and exploring! This is an opportunity to explore what being a chorister is all about. There is no charge for the day, girls should bring a packed lunch with them. A parent/carer should remain at the Cathedral with their child throughout the day.
