St Teresa’s SVP would like to end the year with a quick update.

Firstly we would like to thank St Teresa’s parishioners for their continued generosity to the SVP. For example with your support we have been able to help our local families with fridges, washing machines, three piece suites, shoes, clothing, microwave’s, food hampers, and more.

The SVP could not do these things without the generosity of St Teresa’s parishioners.

Thank you and God bless.

If you know of anyone in need, we will do our best to help, please do not hesitate to contact St Teresa’s SVP on 07763 429 896.

The Living Word  – A date for your 2016 diary: on Wednesday 13th January our Scripture Group will be returning after their Christmas break to start a four week course of exploring the story of God’s love and they really want to welcome some new members. Some of us might be on a diet after Christmas, but we need all the spiritual nourishment we can get. This four week course, led by the team from the Irenaeus project in Crosby, will build up our confidence in sharing the Word with each other. It will be a great way to enter into the Year of Mercy.

Marie Curie Helper volunteers needed to provide support to terminally ill people and their families.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is looking for people aged 18 or over who are interested in providing support to terminally ill people and their carers.  We’re looking for volunteers in Liverpool to become a Marie Curie Helper – someone who can spare a few hours each week (Mon-Fri) to visit people in their homes to offer a listening ear, emotional support and practical information.

Volunteers also give families a chance to take a short break from their caring role so that they are able to take some time for themselves.

No previous experience is needed; training and ongoing support provided and travel expenses paid.

For more information, phone 0845 634 9813 or email liverpoolhelper@mariecurie.org.uk
